Hello, I'm Karim, a Houdini FX Artist based in Berlin.
I create effects and visuals grounded in strong design and solid technical execution. I'm particularly interested in work that balances aesthetic quality with thoughtful, well-built systems, often developed and refined through VEX.
Before focusing on FX, I spent many years in games and interactive experiences. I started as a game artist in 2006, co-founded a small studio building assets for larger productions, and have worked as a freelance artist across multiple industries since 2014. That background still shapes how I work today — keeping a focus on design while staying practical and production-aware.
Recent credits include Sphere Las Vegas (ILLENIUM, Anyma) at Woodblock and a Houdini-to-Unreal 4D Gaussian Splat pipeline featured by SideFX in their HEX Tech Talk, May 2026.
Currently available for remote engagements worldwide and on-site in Berlin.
